December 29, 2023

Unless we have been living under a rock (as I sometimes wish I did) we know in a few days it will be 2024. While a good number of us do not do anything to celebrate the new year’s coming we none-the-less are going to live in a new year with new challenges and opportunities.

Reflecting on the past year it has been one of turmoil, hard decisions and rewards. A year ago I would have never guessed we as a church would be where we are now. We are coming up on the date where that all changed for us a year ago. The CFN group and many others have been great to us in getting ourselves together. More importantly God willing we will be what we need to be to lease and honor Him.

As we go forward into the coming year, please always pray for each other and pray for this group as a whole being a church group. I know we haven’t all met in the same place, some we may never meet face to face. In spirit we are still in the body of Christ and function like a component of that body.

As we discussed at one of the leadership meetings, it will be interesting to see what comes out of this new beginning and what happened between now and the time of His Kingdom here on Earth. Imagine learning that this little group was responsible for leading many to Christ in the future. Keep that in mind as we go forward into the unknowns of the coming year. We know for certain that God is already there!

2 Corinthians 5:9-11 ICB

Our only goal is to please God. We want to please him whether we live here or there. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. Each one will receive what he should get—good or bad—for the things he did when he lived in the earthly body. We know what it means to fear the Lord. So we try to help people accept the truth. God knows what we really are. And I hope that in your hearts you know, too.

Have a great Sabbath!

Your brother in Christ,

Steve Koenig
