This week was especially emotional for me as it now marked a year to make the decision to leave our former Association. It was a difficult decision in some respects because we were a part of it basically from birth. There were several reasons for making that decision including the fact that under the new conditions we would be under to continue to attend, I would not be allowed to spiritually grow.

It has been a difficult and rewarding path in the same. New opportunities have come our way and we get to share them with our friends and family into the unknown to us but known to God. We have the comfort of knowing that God is the one who directs our paths to the end results he wants. It’s only us that either accepts or rejects them through the free will we are given.

It is my hope that the church group we form will first and foremost meet his approval. It has to in order for it to do what it’s supposed to. Otherwise as scripture shows in Psalms 127:1 “Unless the Lords shall build a house, the builders toil in vain.”

No matter what happens the vision should always be to please God and be obedient to him. I hope in the long run when our time is over here that what we do going forward will bring others to him in the years to come. Please pray that we can be the church he wants us to be.

Your brother in Christ,

Steve Koenig
