June is an interesting month as it seems to be a battleground for the human race with morals and ethics taking center stage. We see in politics several elections that are heated and very volatile. Some are looking to fix wrongful and corrupt behavior, while other elections are trying to install that behavior. We see that what typically would be the wedding month in the past is now “pride” month. One state, Tennessee turned it into nuclear family pride month as a shift to more biblical based values. Understand that all these changes are built on the shifting sands of culture and decay. What is in one year will be replaced with something else the next. What seems to be a shift towards Goldy values can change for the worse later on and head the other direction. It has been so through history and will continue until Jesus Christ returns.
While human culture puts man at the center of life, the Christian puts God in the center of their life. Everything in their life belongs to God. For the unbeliever they are considered in the bible as lost, outside of Salvation. Lost but still able to be found. Understand that this is not where it ends for everyone.
The human center tends to devalue the human as a who because it is individual and self centered. God looks at what he has created in all of us. While some may be considered lost they still have a value to God. They still have potential to God and they still get everything they are from God.
That is why for Christians in the knowledge of God’s work and salvation we have an obligation to see man in God’s eyes rather than man. That includes the saved and the lost both. Consider this as we read 1 Timothy 2:
2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth [d]in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
God still loves the human race, we know this because His son paid for our sins with His life. It opened the door so that those who believe, past present and future can also be saved!
In Christ always,
